Quinton House comprises two separate houses, Seastrole and Larkins, both of which are in a quiet cul-de-sac with the benefit of secluded gardens. They are each 13 bed units, catering for male and female client populations.
As a secondary care treatment unit, Quinton House is abstinence based and we do not offer detoxification or nursing facilities. Service users coming into the project are required to have been free of alcohol/drugs for a minimum period of 7 days.
Both houses are well situated and close to shops and local amenities. There are a number of doctors and dentists within walking distance as well as religious institutions, including a synagogue and mosque.
The Bournemouth town centre is close by and our local shopping centre offers a wide range of shops. The beach is within walking distance and local cinemas and other leisure activities are well placed. There are approximately fourty 12-Step fellowship meetings per week all of which are easily accessed and most within walking distance. There is an excellent transport system convenient to the houses.
The two houses are managed by our treatment director and two managers, together with our team of qualified senior counsellors as well as counsellors in training and support workers. The project enjoys the benefits of having a multi-lingual staff team. We retain the services of a full-time maintenance manager, who attends to the daily and on-going maintenance of all houses.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission as "Registered Residential Care".
